Last month details of the Eufy IndoorCam leaked via the company’s social media pages. This information revealed 2 cameras that appeared to support HomeKit. Now new details have emerged suggesting a release date along with specs.
New information received via a source that wanted to remain anonymous suggests two new models are coming. The first being the eufy IndoorCam Pan 2k and the 2nd referred to as eufy Security Indoor Camera. Both cameras will support HomeKit, but no word on HomeKit Secure Video.
Although both models have appeared on the company’s own social media. It looks like both versions of the eufy indoor cameras will have slightly different features.

So, the biggest differences between both models is the Pan and Tilt and possible slightly higher resolution than that of the eufy Security Indoor Cam. But the interesting thing is, both models are rumoured to operate independently with no Homebase.
Both cameras will have human, face and animal detection modes. But it will also feature a new audion detection. This mode will trigger video and audio recording when sound is detected in your home. The eufy IndoorCam will feature a home and away mode similar to the Netatmo Smart Indoor Camera.
While support for HSV is coming to the EufyCam 2 and 2C, although delayed. No information is available if the eufy security indoor camera will support HomeKit Secure Video.
Release date
Based on information received, pre-orders for the eufy Security Indoor Cam 2k pan and tilt will start on the 13th April and shipping will start mid-May. This also ties with and details posted by Reddit user u/beautyinthegeek who entered the competition to win a camera and the shipping date for competition winners.
In terms of price the source suggested that it will retail for $120 – $160 and it may only ship in the US to start.
When I previously reached out to eufy regarding the release, I was told “the camera will ship during first half 2020.” So, it looks likely it will now be mid-April.
