Initially revealed at CES 2024, Nanoleaf’s outdoor string lights are available for pre-order on the company’s Nanoleaf website. Nanoleaf’s Smart Multicolour Outdoor String Lights are designed to make enjoying more of your evenings outside.
The new outdoor lights from Nanleaf support 16 million colours and each bulb is RGBW, meaning it’s capable of not only the full range of colours, but cool and warm whites too. Because they are intended for outdoor use, they possess IP ratings, with the controller rated at IP67 and the lights at IP65.
The smart lights are fully compatible with Apple Home and are also Matter enabled, allowing you to seamlessly integrate them into any platform, provided you have a Matter Controller as part of your setup. Connection is provided by Wi-Fi 2.4GHz WiFi, but no Thread support, which is a shame
The string lights come in two ‘Smarter’ pack options, the basic 15 metre kit with 20 bulbs at $129.99, or the 30 metre kit with 40 bulb $199.99. You can also purchase an extension pack consisting of the same 15 metre kit for $99.99. One controller can support a maximum of 60 bulbs.
