The newly announced HomePod delivery dates have already slipped up to 7 weeks in some countries. It looks like the new Midnight colour option is most affected, with the white still showing as available for delivery on the launch date of the 3rd of February in some locations.
The new HomePod comes with new smart home features like Thread, Matter and built in temperature and humidity sensors that are exposed to HomeKit. In the United Kingdom, United states, Italy, Germany, China and Ireland, for example, the delivery time for HomePod in the new Midnight colour is between 4 and 7 weeks. Canadian customers are looking at a wait of 3 weeks for both the Midnight and White colour options.
But it’s better news in places like France, Netherlands, Japan and Hong Kong with shipping still available for the 3rd February launch day. if you are looking for the white option, then the UK, US and other countries appear to have this available for delivery on the 3rd too.
The second-generation HomePod will be sold in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, and 11 other markets. It goes on pre-order today at £299/$299 and will start shipping starting 3rd February 2023.
I will, of course, be reviewing the new HomePod second generation, so keep checking back when that lands. If you have a question or a comment, then leave it below. You can also follow us on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.
