Philips Hue reveal new gradient light strip, plus more

Signify on Thursday announced several new products including a LED light strip that supports multiple colours, New Hue Iris and new filament bulb sizes. These new products work with the existing Hue hub and HomeKit.

Philips Hue Gradient LED light strip

The biggest of today’s announcements is the new Philips Hue Play Gradient Light Strip. the Play Gradient Light Strip uses an entirely new technology that allows multiple light channels inside the strip, allowing it to show multiple colours at once.

As the LED light strip cannot be trimmed, It’ mounts around the back edges of your TV and is available in specific sizes for 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch TVs. It includes mounts to fit on the back of a host TV to project light out.New Philips Hue gradient LED light

The new gradient technology found in the Hue Play Gradient Light Strip pairs perfectly with the Philips Hue Play Sync Box. Which means it will sync perfectly with your entertainment system to provide a great immersive experiences when watching content on your TV.

Hue Iris

The Philips Hue Irus is getting an update today with a new design, output is more than twice as bright as the original at 570 lumens, and limited edition colours.

It features lower-than-ever dimming, and a significant increase in brightness when using white light. The new Hue Iris also features Bluetooth capabilities and works with the Hue hub for HomeKit support.Philips Hue Eris

The updated Hue Iris is available for $99 with the limited edition colours attracting a $20 premium price tag. The Iris limited-edition colours are copper, rosé, silver, and gold.

  1. $200+ for an addressable RGB strip! I like hue products but where do they get off charging so much. Its pretty infuriating. I want to leave their ecosystem for this reason but I already told own about 30 of their overpriced bulbs
