At CES 2025, SwitchBot unveils the Lock Ultra and the Switchbot Doorbell to add to its already growing smart security line up.

The first building on the immense popularity of last year’s SwitchBot Lock Pro. This next-generation smart lock takes home security to the next level with an adaptable, retrofit-friendly design compatible with 99.9% of existing locks, including deadbolt, mortise, and Jimmy Proof locks, making it perfect for renters and homeowners alike. For the rare cases where standard installation isn’t feasible, 3D-printed custom solutions are available to ensure a perfect fit.

Equipped with the FastUnlock™ System, the Lock Ultra offers lightning-fast unlocking and supports up to 16 methods, including fingerprint recognition, smartphone app control, NFC cards, and voice commands via Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri. Its triple-power system eliminates the risk of being locked out due to power loss, ensuring reliability in every situation.

The Lock Ultra boasts a six-layer protection system with AES-128 encryption, tamper alerts, and auto-lock functionality. It integrates seamlessly with the SwitchBot Ecosystem, supports Matter (via SwitchBot Matter-enabled hubs), and works with Apple HomeKit and other smart home platforms for a fully connected experience.

SwitchBot Video Doorbell: A Smarter Doorway Solution

The SwitchBot Video Doorbel features a separate 4.3-inch portable display, making it accessible for seniors and children alike. Its Wi-Fi relay ensures smooth streaming and operation even during network outages. With an impressive 20-month battery life, the doorbell supports up to 512GB of local storage (sold separately) without monthly fees and includes a 100dB chime, doubling as a gateway for SwitchBot lock products.

Delivering 2K ultra-HD resolution, colour night vision, and a 165° wide-angle view, the doorbell integrates with Alexa, supports AI motion detection, and offers remote app monitoring. Installation takes just 3 minutes using adhesive or screws, with no wall modifications required. The portable SwitchBot Monitor can be placed on a table or mounted on a wall, providing a flexible, wire-free solution.
