Vocolinc Door Sensor Surfaces via online retailers

It looks like the Vocolinc VS1 Door and Window sensor with HomeKit support is set to be released. This is following a listing on the company’s official Czech and Slovakian sites, plus other merchants in the EU.

The Vocolinc Window and Door contact sensor will feature Bluetooth 5.0. A CR2032 coin battery will power the device with a life span of 6 months. The sensor dimensions are 30 x 63.5 x 9.6 mm and the magnet dimensions are 11 x 45 x 8 mm. The new sensor will also work with HomeKit and the Vocolinc app.

Reported separately by smart home enthusiast website HomeKit News. They claim that Best Buy in Canada also had the sensor on its website. However, it would appear that listing has since been “pulled” so we cannot verify for certain.

In terms of pricing, the official Vocolinc website has them listed at €24.99 with other sites listing them at similar prices. If the Best Buy listing is to be believed, then they will sell a 2-pack for $49.99 CA, which works out at roughly $35 US.Vocolinc VS1 door sensor
