After months of speculation, the VOCOlinc smart air purifier VAP1 with HomeKit support is now available for pre-order in Europe. The new air purifier will feature an advanced H12 HEPA filter, low noise motor and a 5.1 LCD screen with controls.
The VOCOlinc smart air purifier measures 56 x 29 x 29 cm and comes in white to start. On the front it features a Large 5.1″ LED screen with adaptive auto-brightness functionality displays real-time information of both the air quality in your home.
VAP1 has 5 levels of fan speed, which supports superior filtration technology. The three stages of the advanced HEPA filtration remove up to 99,97% of gases and particles down to 0.3 microns from your room up to 60 sq. meters. All of this can be customised with 4 modes, auto, sleep, manual and kids.
Each filter combines pre-filter, advanced H12 HEPA filter and HIVE pattern activated carbon filter. The air purifier features a dual air inlet with a delivery rate of 500m3/h. VOCOlinc says i it cleans air in 10 minutes in an average-size room. Despite the high effectivity, the VAP1 air purifier is a quiet with a max noise on full power at 63 dB and only 30dB at sleep mode.
Smart control and HomeKit
The VOCOlinc Air purifier connects via Wi-FI 2.4GHz to your home network. You can also monitor the air quality in your room and control all aspects via LinkWise app. In addition, the Air purifier works with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google home.
Speaking of HomeKit support, you can control the VAP1 within the Home App and via Siri controls. You can use scenes and automations to automatically turn on the VOCOlinc Air Purifier based on triggers. In addition, the VAP1 features Built-in humidity and temperature sensors. However, its not know if it will expose these to HomeKit.
Pricing and availability
The VOCOlinc Air Purifier is available today for pre-order from the company’s website with and introductory price of 439 EURO and then after that it will be 459 EURO. The VAP1 will start shipping 7th July to most EU countries, but this could change with the Covid-19 situation.
