Onvis Smart camera with HomeKit Secure Video to arrive in May

Following a social media post, the Onvis Smart camera is set to arrive in May. This is following an Instagram post confirming the camera will support 1080p streaming, wifi connectivity and HomeKit Secure Video.

This will be Onvis’s first smart camera, which follows on from its smart plug and smart sensor that all support HomeKit. The camera has an impressive feature set that will add to the expanding HomeKit enabled smart camera choice.

  • Full 1080p recording at 30fps with 134º Field of vision
  • 4 streamings (1 for HSV/iCloud, 2 iOS devices and 1 for local storage)
  • Enhanced night vision mode using Sony Starlight sensor
  • Compatible with HomeKit Secure Video at launch
  • Wifi connectivity utilising both 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands
  • Local video storage via an SD Card up to 128GB
  • 2 way Audio
  • 134º Field of vision

The company has said that the camera has already passed HomeKit Secure Video certification and is now in the final testing stage internally before release.Onvis camera specs

In terms of price, the company is yet to confirm this to us other than saying it will be “competitive.” However, they let us know that they will launch the camera in May and they will confirm the price closer to the time. This will also coincide with the Eve Cam, and the affordable eufy indoor camera arriving at the same time. Which will give consumers more choice for HomeKit Secure Video cameras.
