Bosch Smart Home which offers several smart devices in its range has announced support for Apple HomeKit. The integration into Apple HomeKit will enable Apple users, as of the 13th of August, to control select Bosch Smart Home devices in the Apple Home app.
The update to the Bosch smart home platform will bring HomeKit support for the following devices.
- Smart Home Controller
- Radiator Thermostat
- Smart Plug
- Door/Window Contact
- Shutter Control
- Light Control
- Motion Detector
- Twinguard
- Smoke Detector
While they design individual smart home devices to be centrally controlled via the Bosch smart Home controller. It is not clear if all the devices will be HomeKit certified or just be the smart home controller. If its the latter option, then you will the Bosch Smart Home controller to expose the other devices to HomeKit.
The update to these devices will be delivered before the 13th August via a over the air firmware update. If you don’t own any Bosch smart home products, you can checkout some starter kits on Amazon.

Have you tested how reliable these are yet I’m interested in getting some but not sure if the price tag is worth it or not. I’m thinking of getting the motion sensors and window and door sensor for HomeKit automations,
