The Aqara Smart Pet Feeder C1 is now avaialbe and supports scheduled and remote feeding for cats and dogs But also support for Siri shortcuts and local automations via the Aqara App. The pet feeder is available on Aqara Amazon brand stores in North America (US, Canada) and Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK), and via selective Aqara retailers worldwide.
The Pet Feeder C1 has a 4-liter food tank which incorporates around 1.7 kilograms (3.7 pounds) of typical pet food, and it is ideal for cats and smaller dogs. The food is dispendsed via a opening at the buttom into the provided bowl.
Power is provided via the mains through a USB-A port. But the Pet Feeder also supports an optional D-type (LR20) battery as a power backup. So it can dispense pet food even when the electricity is cut off. For further added peace of mind the feeding schedules are saved local. Which means that preset schedules remain functional regardless that the Internet connection or the smart home hub goes down.
Built upon the Zigbee 3.0 protocol and connects via a compitable Aqara hub, the Smart Pet Feeder C1 enables users to schedule and feed pets remotely Major voice assistants including Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri can be used by creating a pet feeding scene on Aqara Home
To help keep track of pet food consumotuon, the Aqara pet feeder allows users to track of what has been dispendsed. Each kind of pet food is different, so users can weigh one portion of the particular pet food and input the value in grams on the Aqara Home app
